California State Railroad Museum Adult Educational Opportunities

Educational opportunities abound at the California State Railroad Museum. Although the Museum is perhaps best known for its School Field Trip Opportunities and other educational programs for school-age children, plenty of adult educational opportunities related to Railroad History are available as well.

At the California State Railroad Museum in Old Sacramento, Guided Tours introduce you and your companions to the role railroads have played in the development of our economy, lives, and culture here in the Golden State. At Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, Roundhouse Tours provide a glimpse into a unique survivor: the once-common railroad roundhouse.

Weekend (April-September) steam Train Rides in Old Sacramento offer an opportunity to experience travel in a pre-freeway and airport age.
